Jacob Robinson.

Samuel Robinson is the eldest son of Mike and Barbara Robinson, He grew up in Hanford, California, where he attended St. Rose-McCarthy Catholic School. He graduated from Hanford Joint Union High School as part of the last Bullpup class to attend West Campus before the schools split. At California State University, Fresno, Samuel studied engineering and business technology, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology (Network Management).

While still in college, the country experienced the tragic day of 9/11. Samuel then enrolled in an officer program to serve in the United States Marine Corps. After graduation, he was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant and attended basic officer school and flight school. He served 16 years in the military, stationed at various locations across the United States, and deployed multiple times overseas, primarily in Africa, for combat operations supporting the Global War on Terrorism and Operation Enduring Freedom.

After his years in service to our country, Samuel returned to the team at Robinson’s Interiors Carpet One. By harnessing the tech skills developed in school, advanced in business, and sharpened during his military career, he keeps the company up-to-date with modern technologies, information systems, and data management.

Samuel was able to see first-hand the fruits of his labor when he assisted a customer seeking new flooring from a specific supplier. Thanks to the work he had completed updating Robinson’s technologies and integrated data systems, he quickly identified the desired flooring qualified for a special national rebatestrong> through Robinson’s Carpet One affiliation. This meant significant savings for the customer! “When I told the customer and saw his reaction, well, it made my day,” says Samuel.

Samuel also takes pride in his work with the Resource & Financial Management System (RFMS), a specialized software tailored for the flooring industry. After countless hours, he successfully integrated RFMS into the Robinson’s sales and labor processes, creating benefits for both customers and employees. This complex undertaking remains his most challenging and rewarding tech accomplishment.

Samuel values the sense of family at the company. “Many employees have been part of the team for decades. I grew up with some of them. It’s a tight-knit and supportive work environment,” he says.

Outside of work, Samuel enjoys spending quality time with his wife and their four children. He also cherishes the rare opportunity to pilot an airplane and take his family on flights; he is also a licensed flight instructor.
