Hunter Douglas Window Covering Specialist
Christy Amos grew up in beautiful Sonora, California. Christy has worked in a variety of fields. Her first career was as an optician for about 15 years. She recalls that as one of her “favorite jobs.” She later worked with family in the cabinetry and glass businesses. She moved into window coverings. She explains, “When people get new windows, they want new window coverings".
She has been happily working as a Hunter Douglas window coverings specialist for more than 20 years. She serves her clients with a wealth of knowledge and valuable experience.
Christy especially enjoys the design aspect of her window covering tasks. “It’s wonderful to see the different styles people have in their homes and then to find a window covering that enhances and brings out their style,” she says.
Over the years, being a window covering specialist has had it’s challenges with all the changing technology. Christy has managed to navigate those challenges well. She says, “It wasn’t easy, but I’ve managed to learn how to use all the motorized shades and home automation.”
Her job has its perks, too. She recalls, “A client flew me to Arizona to manage the window covering selection and installation for his home and several other properties.”
Christy serves the community as a member of Rotary International. When not working, Christy loves to spend time sand drag racing, hiking, and hanging out with her family.
