For the second year in a row, Taylor Carpet One Floor & Home, organized a Stephen Siller Foundation’s Tunnel to Towers 5k Run & Walk in Fort Myers, FL.
The funds raised at the run go towards the Building for America's Program. Carpet One Floor & Home® is proud to partner with Building for America’s Bravest™ to provide custom-designed smart homes that allow catastrophically injured heroes returning home to live more independently, improving the quality of their daily lives.
John Taylor, owner of Taylor Carpet One Floor & Home, is very proud to be a part of the program and said, “The event was a success and the credit really goes to my daughter Lauren (the race coordinator) who did a great job! We had a date change because of Hurricane Irma, which we thought would affect us, but our final fundraising numbers are double what we did last year. For me, this organization is such a great group that everyone easily relates to and gets behind. I did not serve in the military, but this organization has given me and my family a way to serve the ones who protect us everyday (First responders and our veterans)! I also have so much respect for the Siller family for what they have done and what they continue to do every day.”
