To help raise public awareness of ovarian cancer and its symptoms, Independent Carpet One Floor & Home in Westland, MI is participating in the Turn the Towns Teal campaign. To capture Westland and Wayne residents’ attention, store owner Cathy Buchanan and her team tied biodegradable teal ribbons along 4 miles of roads in Westland and Wayne.
The ribbons will be displayed throughout September – National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. But, the ribbons are not the only way Independent Carpet One Floor & Home is getting involved. They are also distributing information on Ovarian Cancers often “silent” symptoms. Customers can also purchase teal bracelets and pins to help support the cause.
