Carpet Interiors Carpet One in Oak Lawn and Orland Park, IL recently helped youngsters Kaylee Zilinger and her BFF, Kayla Roman, in their mission to bring joy to children at Advocate Children’s Hospital by collecting toy donations in their stores.
Kaylee’s mother, Kimberly, works at Carpet Interiors Carpet One. When her 10-year-old daughter and friend Kayla set a goal of collecting 50 toys for the children at Advocate Children’s Hospital, Kimberly got the store on board to act as a drop-off location for toys.
The girls spread the word through social media and word-of-mouth. The girls’ initial goal was far exceeded and they delivered more than 100 toys to the hospital just in time for Christmas.
The girls’ efforts and the support from the community are heart-warming and Carpet Interiors Carpet One is proud to be a part of it.
