Last year, instead of a fancy Christmas party, Carpet Colour Centre Carpet One Floor & Home in Red Deer, AB opted for a gathering in their warehouse so that they could raise more money to build a school in Kenya. This year, they are proud to announce that the Turkana Education Centre in Lodwar, Kenya is now open and operational! The school will provide an education to the children, as well as hope for the whole community. Rick and Andrew Wiebe, owners of Carpet Colour Centre, were able to attend the grand opening in Lodwar. “This school was built with funds raised by Carpet Colour staff, and it offers a chance at a better future for a generation of people who have a very, very hard life. It is the culmination of a two-year effort in a very remote, desolate, forgotten part of planet earth,” said Andrew Wiebe
